Spring Season 2020 – Home Is Where the Heart Is

“Home Is Where the Heart Is”

Our annual spring concerts will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at New Hope Baptist Church, at 7:00 pm, and on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at McGregor Hall for the Performing Arts, at 3:00 pm. The theme of the concerts is “Home Is Where the Heart Is”. NPC Director, Cindy Edwards has created a program that is fun to sing and will have broad appeal for our audiences. The program tells of the journey of making America our home through the influences of multi-genres (patriotic, bluegrass, Celtic, folk, rock, and classical) and includes the following music selections:

“America the Beautiful” by Mark Hayes
“Song of the Tall Ship” (Men) by Luttrell, Hayes
“Shady Grove” (Women) by Tom Shelton
“Shenandoah” by Victor Johnson
“Cindy” by Mac Wilberg
“When Johnny Comes Marching Home” by Wilhousky
“The Gettysburg Address” by Mark Hayes
“Freedom Song” by Brahms/Beery
“Homeland” by G. Holst
“America (They’re Coming to America)” by Neil Diamond and David Maddux
“God Bless America” by Joseph Martin

Rehearsals are well under way and the music is taking shape. We look forward to presenting this fun and exciting concert this coming May.
