Chorale-Fall Season well underway

The Northeast Piedmont Chorale Fall season is well begun! We are working hard on our “Christmas Classics”  concert. Cindy has created a beautiful program that includes selections from major classical works and traditional Christmas music. Those selections include:

  • “On This Day Earth Shall Ring”
  • “Many Moods of Christmas” by Robert Shaw and Russell Bennett (Good Christian Men Rejoice, Silent Night, Patapan, and O Come All Ye Faithful)
  • Selections from the “Messiah” by Handel (And the Glory of the Lord, Unto Us a Child is born, Glory to God)
  • “Cradle Hymn” by Kim Andre Arnesan
  • “Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow” by Mark Hayes
  • “Fum Fum Fantasia” by Tom Fetke
  • “Silver Bells” by Kevin Robinson
  • “The Christmas Song” arranged by Mark Hayes
  • “This Little Babe” from Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten
  • “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” by John Rutter

Some of the pieces are familiar standards, but the arrangements are a little different making for a challenge!
