A Message from Our Board — May 2021

May has always been the month when we perform our spring concerts. For the Chorale it is an exciting time of the year.  It is a time when we prepare to perform our concert program by fine-tuning our parts and working to perfect our timing and phrasing. While safety issues of Covid-19 prevent us from performing our spring concerts this year, we have used this time to create a plan for the 2021-2022 season, including, but not limited to, the following:

• Dates when rehearsals will begin for both the fall and spring seasons
• Dates, times, and venues for our annual fall and spring concerts
• Concert music selection and review
• Fundraising projects

We are thrilled about planning for future concerts again and will share the specifics of the plan with our members when we learn from federal and state medical authorities that it is safe for us to sing and perform together again. Of course, we are hoping that time will come soon. Meanwhile, we will continue working on our plan so it will be ready to share with our members. 

For now, the Chorale will continue meeting virtually on the first day of each month, and our board will continue meeting virtually each month to prepare for a new singing season. As we receive updated information, we will publish it here, so keep checking back each month to learn what is new for the Northeast Piedmont Chorale.
